Election Commission of India has recently released Assembly Election Schedule for 5 states in India namely Uttarakhand, Manipur, Punjab, Goa and Uttar Pradesh. Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Chunav will be conducted in a single phase. Uttarakhand Assembly Elections will be held for all constituencies in the state at a time. Congress, BJP, BSP, UKD(P) are the main political parties in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Chunav 2017/Uttarakhand Assembly Election Nominations will be accepted from 20th January 2017.

Srinagar, Tehri, Tharali, Vikasnagar, Yamkeshwar and Yamunotri.Last election was held in the year 2012 in Uttarakhand. Congress party has won 32 seats out of 70 and formed Government in Uttarakhand with help from Bahujan Samaj Party, Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (P), and Independents. This year congress party will face tough competition from other political parties such as BJP, UKD(P), BSP. The terms of the Legislative Assembly of Uttarakhand expiring on 26th March 2017. In Uttarakhand, 02 assembly constituencies are reserved for ST and 13 assembly constituencies are reserved for SC. There are 73,81,000 registered voters in Uttarakhand. Final electoral rolls of all these voters will be released on the 10th January 2017.
Photo Electoral Rolls will be used during Uttarakhand General Elections 2017/Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Chunav 2017. About 10854 polling stations will be established for the smooth conduct of Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2017. In 2012, a total of 9744 polling stations were established. Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2017 will be conducted at all polling stations using EVMs. The Model Code of Conduct has already been came into effect.
