Manipur Assembly Election Results 2017/Manipur Vidhan Sabha Election Results for the following constituencies will likely be declared from 9am on the 11th March 2017 as EVMs are used in these polls. First result will likely to be declared after just few hours from start of counting of votes on 11.03.2017. Phase 1 Manipur Assembly Elections were conducted for 38 assembly constituencies and Manipur Vidhan Sabha Phase 2 polls were held for 22 assembly constituencies. Several opinion polls have predicted that BJP will come to power in these elections in Manipur.

Last election was held in the year 2012 in Manipur. Congress party has won 50 seats out of 60 and formed Government in Manipur. This year congress party will face tough competition from other political parties such as BJP, NPF, NCP, LJP. The terms of the Legislative Assembly of Manipur expiring on 18th March 2017. In Manipur, 19 assembly constituencies are reserved for ST and 1 assembly constituency is reserved for SC. There are 18,07,843 registered voters in Manipur. Final electoral rolls of all these voters will be released on the 12th January 2017.
