BMC Elections 2017/MCGM Elections 2017/MCGM/Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation Elections/Brihan Mumbai Mahanagar Palika Elections 2017/Mumbai Civic Polls will be conducted on 21st February 2017. BMC Elections 2017 Schedule is released. Greater Mumbai Municipal Elections/BMC Elections 2017 Notification will soon be released by the CEO, Maharashtra with in few days.

There are totally 227 wards in Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation area. Elections will be held for these 227 wards. BMC elections 2017 schedule is as follows. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is also known as Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). Congress, BJP, Shiv Sena, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) are main political parties in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena and BJP may form an alliance and contest for these elections in this year 2017. How ever there is no official information regarding this matter as yet.

BMC Election Schedule 2017/MCGM Election Schedule

BMC Election schedule is as follows. Nominations will be filed from 27th January 2017 for Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Elections 2017. CEO, Maharashtra will release BMC Elections voter list on their official website. Voters can download or can check their voter id status in the official website of CEO, Maharashtra.

BMC is the second oldest municipal corporation in India. Set up in 1872, it was established under the Bombay Municipal Corporation Act 1888. Last Elections were held in the year 2012 on the 16th February 2012. Party wise winning seats list is as follows. In 2012 civic election, Shiv Sena contested for 158 seats and won 75 seats, while BJP contested for 69 seats and has won 32 seats. Brihan Mumbai civic polls have been scheduled to be conducted on the 21st February 2017.

Ten municipal corporations such as Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Nagpur, 25 Zilla Parishads and 283 Panchayat Samitis are scheduled to go to polls in February 2017. BJP has 33 corporators while ruling party Shiv Sena has 75 corporators, Congress party has 52 members and NCP has 13 members while the MNS has 28 members in the municipal body. BMC Election Results will be declared on the 23rd February 2017.
