**POSITION SUMMARY:**

Responsible for the strategic leadership of the Education Field. Works collaboratively with the Global Education Development, Talent Development, Field Sales Vice President and Retailer teams to ensure the full maximization of key education and point-of-sale initiatives that elevate sales and service.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* **_Leads development of education strategies for accounts_****:**
* Maintains relationships with our retail partners and shares how our education strategies support the development of their business strategies.
* Communicates clear goals and objectives in regards to Clinique _Service As _You_ Like It_ by partnering with FSVPs/FSDs/REDs so that priorities are set for field execution.
* Ongoing communication with SVP of Global Education, SVP Sales and Education. Discuss brand objectives and agree on US strategy to ensure overall consistency.
* Communicate brand objectives to accounts and reinforce relevance to marketplace. Review performance needs and needs of accounts.
* Formulate objectives working with and through FSVPs/FSDs/REDs to develop a plan and application strategy to successfully implement Clinique _Service As _You_ Like It_ in all doors. Communicate brand initiatives to internal staff and retail partners. Periodic benchmark discussion with both internal and external contacts to reevaluate and reassess brand performance.
* Identifies opportunities for education programs to be further aligned with the US priorities and the needs of the Consultants.
* **_Responsible for the performance management and career development of Regional Education Directors:_**
* Directs and develops the Regional Education Director Team.
* Manages orientation process of all direct reports.
* Completes development plans for each direct report and updates quarterly.
* Evaluates employee’s performance annually and in a timely fashion.
* Fosters productive working relationships resulting in the retention of highly talented and skilled employees.
* Creates and maintains an environment necessary to stimulate an effective brand team – one that fosters motivation at all levels and encourages excellence of initiative and execution.
* Leads field execution of all point-of-sale initiatives that elevate sales and service.
* Leads the execution process of development/succession plan for the Clinique Field. Identifies future leaders and ensures strategies are in place to assure present and future leadership.
* **_Build Strong Partnerships with Global Education, Education Services and Talent Development Teams:_**
* Lead execution of all education curriculum and programs in the US field. Measure point of sale impact and return on invested capital for education programs/tools that are implemented. Ensures core curriculum and counter programs are meeting brand objectives at the point-of-sale. Communicate results as well as insights learned to Global Education Development team.
* Identify and communicate regional needs for education programs to Executive Director, Global Education Development.
* Track and maintain NA Education budget to ensure field meets plan on Fiscal Year End. Partner with Executive Director, Global Education Services to communicate updates budgets and spend.
* Act as liaison between Global Education Services and US field to ensure all services needs are met (tools, product, seminar scheduling, planning, etc.)
* Provides field feedback (results, successes, challenges) on core curriculum provided by the Global Education Development Team. Participate in the development process by providing feedback on regional needs to the Global Education Development team.
* Provides field input in the creation and testing of strength management programs with the Talent Development Team.
* Collaborates with the Talent Development and Field teams to ensure seamless execution of field initiatives.
* **_Lead Field Point-of-Sale Strategies:_**
* Collaborates with Field Sales Vice Presidents to determine market priorities based on account activity and brand focuses.
* Leads the creation of custom-fit, point of sale strategies in partnership with field sales and education teams that build customer loyalty while achieving sales goals.
* Is the voice of the field to NY to communicate strengths and opportunities with current programs/product launches and is the voice of NY to the field to communicate critical information in order to ensure 100% execution of all key programs and product launches.
* **_Manage Budget and Profit Objectives_****:**
* Implement, control and deliver annual budgets working with and through direct reports (T&E; and Seminar).
* Manage budget of REE contingents to ensure that their days worked meet the number of days available due to openings in the department.
* Ensure that best decisions are made with regards to allotted dollars in T&E; working with and through direct reports.

## Qualifications

* The candidate should have had at least 15 years of progressive management experience with an education and/or sales background.
* Candidates must have strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to lead sales and/or education staff in a manner that garnered consistent results.
* The ability to collaborate and achieve consensus with other work groups is also critical.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
