POSITION SUMMARY:
In 1992, thousands were dying from breast cancer yet it was only spoken about in whispers, Mrs. Evelyn H. Lauder launched The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign to raise awareness for the disease. She encouraged women everywhere to practice breast health, while working tirelessly to raise funds for the critical research needed to find a cure. Twenty-one years later, in over 70 countries, The BCA Campaign is devoted to defeating breast cancer through education and medical research. The BCA Campaign will continue spreading its lifesaving awareness message globally in the hope of a world in which breast cancer no longer exists.

Key Objective:
Serve as the voice of The BCA Campaign and actively engage the communities within its growing, global social media footprint with educational and inspirational content.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Creatively and proactively engage the community and drive conversations and answer questions around breast health and breast cancer.
* Manage an overall social media content calendar by developing a cohesive communications cadence across the BCA social media channels and creating new assets and organizing existing assets for use within the calendar.
* Assist in the development of the digital content strategy for the BCA Campaign and execute against it on all BCA Campaign social/digital platforms.
* Serve as the primary voice on social media for all BCA Campaign platforms and communications.
* Work closely with the BCA marketing team and Corporate Social/Digital Marketing and creative to coordinate development and execution of global social media programs, digital assets and content.
* Spearhead the evolution of all digital platforms with updated and consistent press materials, copy and photos on ELCompanies.com, BCAcampaign.com, My ELC BCA page, BCA stories on the Intranet homepage and Online Press Room.
* Responsible for drafting all write-ups for the Intranet related to Philanthropic Communication.
* Develop and strengthen relationships with key online/blogger media contacts.
* Fully respond to questions, comments and related opportunities with speed and judgment. Escalate questions/issues to consumer communications and/or legal as needed.
* Identify issues, patterns and trends associated with comments/inquiries and funnel information to the appropriate departments.
* Measure and synthesize social media performance using standardized social media metrics and deliver monthly recap reports with optimizing opportunities and recommendations.
* Stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and companies are using them, so that the company can continue to be an early adopter of these technologies.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree and minimum 5 years related experience, e.g., managing community outreach and building brand advocacy for brands, philanthropic experience is a plus.
* A deep understanding of corporate philanthropic efforts and best practices for empowering a community to rally around a cause within the social space.
* Experience managing corporate, brand and/or cause-related social channels including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
* Understanding of how to create a compelling voice in social media to build authentic, relevant, interactive consumer relationships.
* Ability to navigate among multiple constituents, platforms and communities to ensure strategies/goals are understood and met.
* Demonstrated strong writing and oral communication skills.
* Strong quantitative skills; knowledge of key social media.
* Excellent judgment on how to identify/escalate potential issues/crises.
* Social media savvy and well-versed on all established and emerging social networking platforms.
* Demonstrate 24/7 approach to responsibilities.
* Active daily life in online and social media.
* 5 percent of travel required for BCA global/domestic events and support of affiliate markets.
