POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage and lead groups on various projects. Give direction by clearly defining vision, mission, and goals. Provide overall project management and engineering activities to meet Global Supply Chain and Corporate Strategy objectives. Manage multi-million dollar department budget ensuring goals are being met. Provide technical support and direction to manufacturing and optimize the use of labor, materials, and equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage capital projects ensuring overall company vision, mission, and goals are being met.
· Guide, lead, and advise project team members

· Supervise all aspects of engineering projects

· Delegate and prioritize critical tasks to staff members ensuring project objectives are met

· Give direction to external vendors ensuring correct system design, specifications, and costing

· Manage the scope development, budgeting, scheduling, design, bidding, construction, freight, installation, startup, and training

· Oversee layout of equipment in production

· Manage all project costs ensuring an accurate balance within budget

· Provide analysis and cost input for annual capital planning process for current fiscal year and provide pre-engineered analysis for next fiscal year

· Maintain close working relationships with R&D, quality, manufacturing, operations leadership, facilities, finance, and EHS

2. Provide technical assistance and support for continuous improvement opportunities

· Perform OEE(Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and LEAN activities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and waste

· Provide solutions for cost reduction opportunities

· Perform analysis of equipment capacity in filling

· Collaborate with ME’s, LEAN lead, and team to improve yield of product and components

· Conduct studies to maximize work flow, resource utilization, and efficiencies

3. Routing and standards creation and maintenance

· Manage and conduct time and motion study to create standards for new products and kits

· Review and ensure existing routings are accurate for use in creating new routings

· Collaborate with ME’s and supervisors to identify process requirements for new products

· Ensure adherence to the production version request” process

4. Review new and existing products for manufacturing improvements

· Review new product specifications referencing filling equipment specifications

· Make recommendations to reduce cost of new and existing products

· Attend meetings discussing new products and packaging changes

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelors Degree
* 3 years of related experience
* AutoCAD
* Facility design/layout
* Knowledge of clean room
* GMP and FDA requirements
* Compounding and packaging equipment knowledge
* Cost accounting
