POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide Quality leadership and direction in building collaborative relationships with the Brand Cluster so that Quality Assurance more clearly and directly understands consumer behavior and expectations in order to protect Brand equity and affect consumer satisfaction. Apply Brand's learnings of consumer behavior and expectations by linking them into appropriate quality strategies, systems and requirements. Educate the Brands on what it is that Quality Assurance does and how QA assures product quality and safety. Together with the Brands, monitor and improve key consumer performance metrics that will help to grow the business. Provide the QA single point of contact for the Brands as it relates OTC development/approval/manufacturing. Be the direct contact for quality problem notification and resolution to the Brands and vice versa from the Brands. Actively participate in the monthly GCC consumer complaint reviews with the Brands and ensure that when changing consumer behavior or expectations occur, they are translated into revised quality requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute as Quality Subject Matter Expert” in the C2M process (concept/design, development), 1st production and distribution phases of product launches via "Right First Time" stage gate meetings or Brand specific commercialization processes to ensure successful launches. Collaborate with the QALT, GBSC, GSR, Product Development and R&D leadership teams to ensure that appropriate product quality requirements are established and implemented.
• Build and sustain QA to Brands and Brands to QA partnering relationship by working with the Brands to articulate the strategies using consumer insight. Learn and understand the Brand's mission, values and consumer requirements and in collaboration with the Brands build the quality design and execution into the Brand. Establish the method and means to track performance and develop objective goals.
• Lead the communication of quality problem notification/resolution to the Brands and vice versa. Actively pursue timely response and final preventive resolution to quality issues working with the QALT. Share "best practices" resolutions globally across brands and regions as a key part of a category lead responsibility. Participate/lead on IWG applicable to the brands in the cluster.
• Lead the program for product line reviews (product and package) and standards management for the identified cluster. Participate in the supplier performance tracking program (GQMS) and the supplier excellence program. Provide the QA single point of contact for the Brands as it relates OTC development/approval/manufacturing.
• Be a member of the QALT, participate in staff meetings, actively help shape the global QA strategy/objectives and participate in industry organizations, where appropriate.
Qualifications:
10 years in progressively more responsible managerial roles, preferably in Quality Assurance arena
           
BS/MS in science or engineering (chemistry, pharmacy, or food technology preferred) or equivalent through experience and additional training.

Additional formal training in Quality Management a plus

Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in managerial positions, preferable in Quality Assurance, in an international environment in consumer goods (cosmetics (preferred), packaged goods, food) or pharmaceuticals.

Demonstrated success in handling multiple cross-functional projects in a complex environment.

Excellent communication, leadership and human relations skills - able to work well with all elements within and outside of the organization.

Experienced in Quality Management in the use of quality tools with a sound statistical base: Quality Management systems, process mapping, tooling qualification, FMEA and others.

Knowledge of packaging manufacturing processes is a plus.

International experience a plus.

Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft products. (SAP knowledge an added advantage).

Fluent in English (written and spoken)
