Delta Hotels and Resorts property is being built in Prince George, British Columbia, that showcases Delta’s reinvigorated brand through modern design and innovation. Slated to open in 2015, the Delta Prince George Hotel will become the city’s first four-star upscale, full-service hotel.

The Delta network of hotels and resorts is undergoing an extensive brand repositioning designed to deliver Canada’s most upscale guest experiences in the four-star hotel category. All Delta properties are being built or renovated to modern design standards and techno-enabled guest spaces in the Canadian hotel marketplace. The Delta Prince George will be reflective of the newly repositioned brand.

The Delta Prince George has been designed as a contemporary hotel with high-tech design elements to reflect the needs and expectations of business and leisure travellers to the region. The public spaces are spacious, modern and engaging. The property design will be reflective of the Pacific Northwest and will feature modern finishes in its public spaces and guest room suites.

The Delta Prince George will offer upscale services and amenities including 170 ModeRoom™ guest rooms, nine impressive extended stay suites and an extravagant hospitality suite, which are modern, innovative and thoughtfully designed and filled with technology features. These rooms are aimed at today’s highly design-conscious travellers who want to live, work and connect on their own terms. The hotel will also boast a full-service restaurant and lounge, a state-of-the art fitness centre with spa and indoor pool, a business centre and approximately 6,600 square feet of meeting and conference space including a 4,000 square foot ballroom.

“This new hotel will make Delta the market leader in Prince George and will offer travellers the most modern, innovative and thoughtfully designed hotel in the region,” says Ken Greene, President & CEO, Delta Hotels and Resorts.  “The Delta Prince George will represent the new Delta and we are thrilled to bring this upscale hotel experience to the heart of British Columbia’s Northern Capital.”

The Delta Prince George will be managed by Delta Hotels and Resorts, and is owned and being developed by River City Hotel Management Corporation, a local real estate development company with a strong track record of notable developments in Prince George and northern B.C.

“We are delighted to be bringing Delta’s upscale hotel experience to Prince George,” says Clint Dahl, spokesperson for the River City Hotel Management Corporation. “We chose Delta because of the modern and innovative design concepts that are being introduced across the chain. We believe these developments combined with this Canadian brand’s exceptional reputation in service excellence across the country will deliver an upscale experience for guests travelling to the region.”

The Delta Prince George will be situated in the heart of downtown Prince George’s civic and cultural centre. It will face the Prince George Civic Plaza, Two Rivers Art Gallery, Four Seasons Leisure Pool, Prince George Civic Centre and Prince George Public Library. The new Delta Prince George will be within walking distance of the central business district, and an array of restaurants and parks.

“We are very pleased that Delta Hotels and Resorts will become the newest corporate citizen of Prince George.  Delta’s four-star development will bring important new jobs to the city and add to the growing vibrancy of our downtown. As the largest city in one of the fastest growing regions of the country, and recently listed in the top 10 for employment opportunity, Prince George is preparing to host the Nation at the 2015 Canada Winter Games”, says Mayor Shari Green.

Delta Hotels and Resorts currently has nine properties in British Columbia and 42 properties across Canada.
