Michael S. Kaminer, MD is known as a leader, innovator and talented skin cancer and cosmetic surgeon in the Boston area. He is one of the three founding partners of SkinCare Physicians, a 15 physician, 100 employee group that is a recognized world leader in dermatology and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Kaminer is also an Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Haverford College. Dr. Kaminer has been an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Harvard and Tufts Medical Schools, and is currently Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology, Yale Medical School, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine (Dermatology) at Dartmouth Medical School, and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Brown Medical School.
Boston area cosmetic surgeon Dr. Kaminer is one of the pre-eminent educators in cosmetic surgery in the nation, having lectured at many national meetings, including national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Hawaii Dermatology Conference, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He has also lectured at numerous international meetings and symposia, recently serving as Co-Chairman of the Anti-Aging World Congress in Paris, France. Dr. Kaminer was the Associate Editor of the Archives of Dermatology, one of the leading medical journals for dermatologists in the world, is on the editorial board of Cosmetic Dermatology, and is a peer review expert for Dermatologic Surgery, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Archives of Dermatology, and Lasers in Surgery and Medicine.
Dr. Kaminer has appeared regularly on local, network, and national television as an expert in cosmetic surgery, including CNN, as well as CBS, ABC, and NBC affiliates. Dr. Kaminer has been recognized as one of the leading dermatologists by Boston Magazine, honored in Who’s Who of American Medicine, Guide to Top Doctors and is frequently quoted in national news publications, including Newsweek, Glamour, Men’s Health, Mademoiselle, Allure, and Self magazines.
