MILLBURN, NJ—(Marketwired – November 17, 2015) – Dr. Scott Krosser, a leading Millburn restorative dentist, recently hit a major milestone in his dental career by completing 1,500 hours in continuing education.
Dr. Krosser, who operates Millburn Dental Arts, attends courses every year to advance his dental training and to learn the most up–to–date procedures for his patients. In October, he officially completed the 1,500th hour of continuing education in his 30–year dental career.

“We are dedicated to learning the latest techniques and finding the best continuing education courses in the country,” Dr. Krosser said. “Over the years, I have been able to add services to my practice after pursuing and completing these important training opportunities.”

New Jersey requires dentists to take 40 hours in continuing education courses every two years to renew their dental license. Dr. Krosser completes more than twice the required amount of continuing education to help his practice grow and to give his patients the best possible care.

Over the past few years, Dr. Krosser has added technology that allows him to provide same–day dental crowns and treat problems like gum disease with state–of–the–art laser treatment. These treatments are minimally invasive and cut down on the amount of time the patient has to spend in the office.

“One of the biggest benefits of seeking new training is that we keep learning new ways to improve standard treatments and to complete minimally invasive treatments. That's a huge benefit to our patients,” Dr. Krosser said. “For 30 years, I have always pursued the maximum amount of continuing education that I could fit into my schedule.”

Millburn Dental Arts, 175 Main St., is a revolutionary family and cosmetic dental practice that has eight state–of–the–art operatories and the latest technology and equipment available in dentistry. The practice offers preventive care, teeth–whitening treatments, tooth–colored fillings, porcelain veneers, Invisalign, gum disease care, crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures, oral cancer screenings and TMJ treatment.

The Millburn dental office uses WaterLase to prepare teeth for fillings and crowns without pain, shots or drills; DIAGNOdent to detect tiny cavities; CEREC to provide patients same–day crowns; and nonsurgical laser treatment to treat patients with gum disease. Dr. Krosser has had great success using the laser–assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP), which has special fibers that clean the periodontal pocket and promote cell attachment.

Dr. Krosser has practiced for 30 years and received his dental degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has completed advanced training programs at the Pankey Institute, one of the most prestigious centers providing dental continuing education courses, and holds memberships with the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of Computerized Dentistry and Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. He also has been a member of the Millburn Chamber of Commerce since 1987.
