Ms. Tash Tobias has been appointed as General Manager of the 243-room Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park effective June 2013. While based in Crowne Plaza, Tash will also oversee the Holiday Inn Silom, Holiday Inn Pattaya, and the upcoming Hotel Indigo Wireless Road as part of her new role as Area Manager for Bangkok.
She brings with her a stunning close to 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, 11 of which are with the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) alone, working in Australia, Vietnam, and Singapore.
In her most recent role as the General Manager for Intercontinental Singapore, Tash has led the team in the hotel growth in all sectors putting the Intercontinental Singapore at the forefront of the country’s hospitality industry. Under her leadership, Intercontinental Singapore received numerous awards including Asia’s Leading Conference Hotel in 2012 (World Travel Awards), Singapore’s Leading Conference Hotel and Best Luxury Hotel (Business Destinations 2012 Travel Award), and Signature Business Hotel and Housekeeping Excellence Award in 2011 (Hospitality Asia Awards).
Tash was previously the Hotel Manager of InterContinental Asiana Saigon and oversaw the development of the luxury hotel and residences and led its successful opening. Prior to that, she was the Regional Director of Revenue Management for Australasia and Area Director of Sales & Marketing.
Originally from Australia, Tash went to the Cornell Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management and Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School.
