Big changes have been occurring at the Denver Marriott City Center. The downtown Denver hotel is proud to announce an esteemed addition to its staff, newly completed renovations and an artful package to get guests just as fired up.

Bill Ninivaggi has been named general manager for the hotel. Ninivaggi’s hospitality career, spanning more than 35 years, includes cross-discipline positions for multiple hotels around the United States and Canada. He has served as director of human resources at the Princeton Marriott, area director of loss prevention in the New York area, regional director of service development in New York and the former northeast region, resident manager at Marriott’s Seaview Resort and hotel manager at the former World Trade Center hotel. His first general manager position was at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott in 1999. He’s also been general manager of the New York Marriott East Side Hotel and area general manager of the Detroit Marriott at Renaissance Center and Courtyard by Marriott Detroit. He comes to the downtown Denver hotel from Chicago, where he was general manager of the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, one of Marriott’s most revered and iconic hotels.

Ninivaggi’s successes are not limited to his accomplishments within a hotel. He has served as a board member of industry-related organizations such as the New York Business Council, New York Hotel Association and convention bureaus and tourism associations for cities including Chicago, Detroit and Toronto.

“I am excited to join a staff that has consistently been known to exceed expectations in service at a hotel that offers exceptional amenities and atmosphere,” Ninivaggi said. “We will continue to offer our deluxe accommodations in a vibrant environment full of culture as well as excite travelers with great deals that will keep us towering above other hotels in Denver.”

The recently renovated Denver hotel is excited to present its Discover Paris at the Denver Art Museum Package. The Denverhotel deal includes deluxe accommodations from $205 per night, two VIP tickets to the Passport to Paris Exhibition at the Denver Museum of Art, valet parking and a buffet breakfast for two. Two additional tickets to the museum can be purchased from the hotel’s concierge.

The passport exhibit features 50 masterpieces from the collection of the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Conn. Travelers will see masterpieces from artists such as Claude Monet, Edgar Degas and Camille Pissarro. Witness how the change in art reflects the change in French society, from the earlier times of the absolute monarchy of Louis XIV to the individualistic café society. A highlight of this exhibit that enhances the French aesthetic of the pieces is the museum’s partnership with the Colorado Symphony to create an immersive, onsite experience that will truly make museumgoers feel like they are strolling through Paris. Religious and mythological subjects, portraits, landscapes, still lifes and genre scenes cover the 1600s through 1900s. This is the first time that all of these works have been shown as a group.

At the end of a full day of immersing themselves in culture at the museum, guests can return to this premier Denver, CO, hotel to enjoy sophisticated accommodations with breathtaking panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and Denver skyline. Museumgoers will appreciate one king or two double beds topped with down comforters, custom duvets, cotton-rich linens and plenty of fully pillows. Vacationers can wake up at their pace and enjoy a cup of coffee made with their in-room coffeemaker.

Before heading out for the day, guests can gather their fully charging phones and cameras from one of the multiple desk-level electrical outlets and head to Allie’s American Grille for their complimentary breakfast buffet. The casual restaurant serves freshly prepared dishes for every palate. Fresh fruit, cereal, pastries and hot dishes such as pancakes, waffles and eggs are available.

The Discover Paris at the Denver Art Museum package is valid through Feb. 8, 2014, requires a Friday night or Saturday night stay and can be booked using the promotional code CUE. Guests who book this deal also will receive a bounce-back offer to stay over a future weekend, Nov. 1, 2013, through April 19, 2014, and receive 10 percent off the best available, non-promotional rate.
