Sad news everybody, especially on the eve of the biggest local gaming expo on the annual calendar. Na’Vi superstar Dendi has had to cancel his trip to the expo due to sickness it seems, meaning that you won’t be able to fanboy all over him during this weekend. I know, it’s ok to cry.
The news was confirmed earlier today on the Na’Vi official website, with the team confirming that the Pudge prodigy was advised against international travel due to his recent flu attack. Probably sound more hectic than it really is.
Unfortunately, we are sad to announce today that due to becoming very ill with the Flu over the past 48 hours, Danil is unable to make the trip to Johannesburg for the event. We’ve tried to give it time to solve itself, with the help of medicine and antibiotics, but he has been advised not to travel at this time.
Talk about a kick to the groin the day before rAge right? I for one was extremely excited to meet and interview the International winning Dota 2 player tomorrow morning, and now I’ll just have to sit and imagine what could’ve been.
Steelseries and Na’Vi have both promised to look into new plans to bring Danil to local shores soon, but for now it’s going to be a hard pill for the thousands of local Dota fans to swallow.
It’s ok, we can grieve together.
