In response to the consistent growth of international tourism to Hokkaido over the past few years, Club Med, a worldwide leader of upscale, premium all-inclusive holidays, announced new plans that would truly make the day for holiday makers worldwide!

Fans of  adrenaline-pumping winter holidays especially, will be pleased to know that Club Med is to open it’s new ski resort in Tomamau, which is located at the northernmost part of Japan, namely the island of Hokkaido.



The deal was recently officiated  in a joint signing ceremony in Shanghai by Mr. Henri Giscard d’Estaing, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Club Med and Mr. Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun International Limited. This is apparently not the only good news for tourists and holiday makers yearning for skiing getaways within Asia.

China-based ski resort Club Med Beidahu is slated to open in December this year, signifying a marked move by Club Med to become the global leader in ski resorts and  premium ski holiday experiences!

Growing travel trends

Due to varying factors such as easier visa processes, new international flights into Hokkaido and more, tourists from Taiwan, Thailand, China and South Korea seem to be flocking there for holidays and vacations.

What to look forward to at Club Med Tomamu Hokkaido

Club Med’s latest ski resort in Japan will span across 145 hectares of scenic ski slopes. Guests can expect to enjoy a wide range of categories in terms of accommodations, ranging from superior to suite, and a refined 5 Trident Luxury Space offering dedicated concierge and personalized services.

Free ski lessons will be available as well, together with access to 28 ski slopes of varying difficulty levels, with brand new ski facilities such as ski lifts and gondolas.
