Anyway, this new and colour product was first developed by a cafe in Hong Kong, with the idea being brought back to Epicurious Cafe at Robertson Quay. Not to worry, the colours are made from real food such as red cabbage, carrot, spinach and beetroot. A good amount of cheese are used as well! Next up, Salted Egg. The whole of Singapore is going bananas for Salted Egg Croissant. First introduced by Antoinette, this sweet and savoury delight blends two different culinary culture into one. Crusty, flaky and buttery croissant filled with a creamy, rich and custard-like salted egg yolk sauce is truly an indulgence not to be missed. Though the trend has slown down, it still is pretty damn good.

5. Superfruit Acai

Superfruit Acai is another healthy alternative that taste absolutely amazing and not disgusting. The combination of fruits give it both sweet and sour notes, while the mixed nuts and granola with chocolate at the bottom allows for texture. This idea was first incepted in Holland, and brought to Singapore by the same company called Project Acai. However, there are also other cafe which holds the same dish such as Absolute Acai , Seed & Soil and Coocaca.

6. Watermelon Cake

Yes, watermelon on a cake does ecists and it all started in Black Star Pastry Cafe, Sydney. This idea was then adopted in Singapore, serving an exact replica of the cake. Believe it or not, it has quite the balance of flavours as well as texture, where the richness of the cake is cut through by the lightness and sweetness of the watermelon. The additional watery crunch among those fluffy cakes are great as well. This unique cake is available in Cream & Custard Cafe Singapore.

7. Cheese Tart

Last but not least, Hokkaido cheese tarts. An upgrade over regular egg tarts and something that Singaporean has been queuing for weeks. Though the trend has slowed down over the recent weeks or months, there are still demand for this savoury treat. It’s rich, creamy, brittle and absolutely delicious.
