The Device Settings options have recently changed to accommodate customers who program multiple AutoCal devices while FlashScan V2 remains connected. Users now have the option to setup the Device Settings to only program AutoCal (or FlashScan) to ensure the chosen device is programmed and not the most recently connected device.
Historically, the disconnection of the first AutoCal resulted in the automatic connection to the remaining device - FlashScan V2. The FlashScan V2 connection remains active even a second AutoCal is connected. The FlashScan V2 connection is only removed if the device is disconnected, or if the user manually switches the connection to AutoCal.
Tagging the Device Settings as "AutoCal Only", will prevent the accidental programming of settings into FlashScan. To access this new feature:
Connect your FlashScan V2 or AutoCal to your PC.
Open the EFILive Scan and Tune application, and then select either:
Select the [F6: Devices] option in the left-hand pane; or
Select the [F5: BBX] -> [F6: Quick Setup] menu and select either the Edit AutoCal Settings or Edit FlashScan Settings option.
A range of user default settings have also been added to support Device Settings. Users can access these settings by navigating to the Edit->Properties->General->Settings menu selection.
