Rotary unions transfer media such as water, steam, air, oil or hydraulic fluid from a stationary source to a rotating machine such as a drum or indexing table. Rotary unions are also used on cranes, machine tools and in many other applications. Duff-Norton rotary unions provide moderate heating or cooling media such as steam, hot oil, water or coolant to control the surface temperature of a drum or roll, to transfer air or hydraulic fluid to moving components or to add fluids to mixers while in motion.
