Philips Lighting, together with the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE), will present a training course on LED professional and lighting theory. This two-day programme is validated by the SAIEE according to ECSA policy. Electrical engineers and architects are invited to attend this course for two continuing professional development (CPD) points. The programme provides training and mentorship on numerous facets of LED professional and lighting theory, and includes topics such as light and radiation, propagation of lights, LED technology, benefits and application possibilities, OLEDs and much more. The training will be presented at the Riversands Incubation Hub in Johannesburg. The Incubation Hub is a large-scale black business incubator established in 2014 through a partnership between Century Property Developments and the Jobs Fund. It is located at the centre of the soon-to-be-established Riversands Commercial Park. Philips is extending the invitation to small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs). The training aims to nurture SMMEs principally to allow them to develop into large-scale businesses. More information is available at www.philips .co.za.
