Position Summary:

This job will be responsible for providing quality geographic information, logistical analysis, support, and solutions to seismic crews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate full commitments to QHSE, lead by example, abide and enforce policies, and carry out all activities required for the successful implementation of the QHSE Management System.
- Utilizing advanced tools and GIS analytical skills, define and assign daily work to the department team in order to provide key GIS support.
- Work closely with the Geomatics and Geophysical acquisition teams to ensure data integrity and accurate map representation.
- Be an active participant in the crew HSEQ program and active in daily tail gate meetings.
- Must abide by and enforce all Geokinetics policies including but not limited to HSEQ, Drug & Alcohol, Operational Policies, IAGC, OGP, Client, Local and State Governmental Policies.
- Responsible for all aspects of health, safety and environmental concerns in the particular work area. Demonstrate safe work practices.
- Reporting in accordance with client and Geokinetics policy on the required aspects of the acquisition.
- Request Technical, Safety and Quality Training if needed and attend the same as required by management.
- Required to assist as needed in any capacity on any department on the crew, at the discretion of the Party Manager, Project Manager.
- Define the procedures or work instructions to be followed during any specific prospect and in case of any missing ones they should be implemented.

Education & Experience:

- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geomatics, Surveying or other relevant area.
- Requires 5+ years’ experience in GIS related activities
- Requires 5+ years’ progressive work experience in Seismic operations.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

- Experience with Seismic Positioning, GIS and Image Processing software (GPseismic, ArcGIS, Global Mapper).
- Experience with marine seismic acquisition processing.
- Requires thorough understanding of geophysics and/or geology.
- Good communication and language competency.
- Self-directed and require minimal supervision.
- Experience in land based seismic positioning system processing (RTK & static GPS, Total Stations, Inertial) is required.
- Experience with marine bathymetric processing (multi-beam, side scan, single beam) would be highly desirable
- Experience with marine processing software (Hypack, Geometis, Sonardyne) would be highly desirable
- Experience in Land, TZ, OBC and OBN project.
- Experience in Continues Acquisition projects. Geospace / Fairfield Nodes

QHSE Competencies:

-  Competencies for the role are referenced in the Integrated QHSE Management System Training Frame Guidelines. For this role, the competencies that are required include Level #.
- Must abide by and enforce all Geokinetics Policies including but not limited to HSE, Drug & Alcohol, Operational Policies, IAGC, OGP, Client, Local & State Governmental Policies.
- Know and implement the policies of GEOKINETICS on quality, production, safety, protection to environment and costs and verify its fulfillment.
- BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training) or STCW95

Physical Demands/Working Conditions & Hazards:

- Stand, walk and sit
- Use of hands to grasp, handle and lift.
- Seismic work is highly risky. Working environment may be in normal office conditions or open areas exposed to weather. Seismic work is conducted in a variety of environments, including swamps, snow, steep mountains, jungles, and deserts. It employs explosives, boats, helicopters, and other vehicles. The QHSE manager ensures and reviews that each crew and project has the specific hazard register for the work conducted. Use PPE accordingly.
- Outdoor Conditions on open sea (Weather, sea conditions, high winds)
Exposure to hazards such as high pressure air, loud noise, fumes, suspended loads, pinch points.
