KENNEWICK, Wash. — Kobe Mohr had a pair of goals, including the winner, and Lane Bauer chipped in with three assists as Edmonton slipped past Tri-City.
Colton Kehler, Adam Berg and Brayden Gordo also scored for the Oil Kings (10-10-2), who got a 27-save outing from Patrick Dea.
Juuso Valimaki led the way with two goals and an assist while Vladislav Lukin and Michael Rasmussen added the others for the Americans (14-8-2). Evan Sarthou made 36 saves in defeat.
Medicine Hat Tigers 5 Swift Current Broncos 4 (SO)
MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Matt Bradley scored the shootout winner as the Tigers held on to beat Swift Current and extend their win streak to five games.
James Hamblin had two goals and an assist in regulation for Medicine Hat (16-5-1), which also got goals from Steven Owre and Max Gerlach. Nick Schneider made 21 saves for the victory.
Travis Burman kicked out 44-of-48 shots to earn the Broncos (11-7-6) a point. Cole Johnson, Kaden Elder, Max Lajoie and Aleksi Heponiemi supplied the scoring.
Victoria Royals 5 Regina Pats 3
VICTORIA — Griffen Outhouse did his part to hand the Regina Pats their first regulation-time loss of the Western Hockey League season.
Outhouse stopped 43-of-46 shots as the Victoria Royals downed the visiting Pats 5-3 on Saturday — ending Regina’s run of games with at least one point at 18.
The Pats had gone 15-0-3 to start the season and were on an 11-game win streak before Saturday’s defeat.
Tyler Soy, Dante Hannoun, Chaz Reddekopp, Carter Folk and Jack Walker scored for the Royals (13-8-2).
Connor Hobbs scored twice and Chase Harrison had the other for the Pats (15-1-3), who got a 20-save effort from Tyler Brown.
Victoria went 1 for 4 on the power play while Regina scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
Brandon Wheat Kings 6 Saskatoon Blades 3
BRANDON, Man. — Ty Lewis had two goals and an assist and Jordan Papirny made 30 saves as the Wheat Kings doubled up Saskatoon.
Reid Duke, Tyler Coulter, Tanner Kaspick and Rylan Bettens also scored for Brandon (12-7-3), which extended its win streak to five games.
Braylon Schmyr, Bryton Sayers and Lukus MacKenzie found the back of the net for the Blades (9-14-1). Logan Flodell stopped 28-of-34 shots in defeat.
Calgary Hitmen 4 Kootenay Ice 2
CRANBROOK, B.C. — Beck Malenstyn struck twice as Calgary beat Kootenay to snap a four-game skid.
Lucas Cullen and Mark Kastelic also scored for the Hitmen (8-9-2) while Cody Porter made 27 saves for the win.
Matt Alfaro and Zak Zborosky responded for the Ice (4-13-6). Jakob Walter allowed two goals on 10 shots in a period of work before giving way to Payton Lee, who made 15 saves in relief.
Portland Winterhawks 5 Seattle Thunderbirds 4 (OT)
PORTLAND, Ore. — Ryan Hughes scored his second goal of the game 2:17 into the extra period as the Winterhawks beat Seattle.
Colton Veloso, Joachim Blichfeld and Keegan Iverson also scored for Portland (10-12-0). Cole Kehler made 42 saves for the win.
Scott Eansor, Turner Ottenbreit, Nolan Volcan and Alexander True supplied the goals for the Thunderbirds (10-8-2). Rylan Toth stopped 23-of-28 shots in defeat.
Lethbridge Hurricanes 2 Everett Silvertips 1
EVERETT, Wash. — Tyler Wong broke a 1-1 deadlock at 11:35 of the third period as Lethbridge edged the Silvertips to snap a five-game slide.
Ryan Vandervlis also scored while Stuart Skinner made 30 saves for the Hurricanes (8-11-3).
Lucas Skrumeda was the lone scorer for Everett (15-3-4), which was 7-0-3 in its past 10. Carter Hart stopped 20-of-22 shots in a losing cause.
Kamloops Blazers 6 Spokane Chiefs 4
SPOKANE, Wash. — Garrett Pilon had a goal and two helpers and Connor Ingram made 42 saves as Kamloops toppled the Chiefs for its third straight win.
Nick Chyzowski, Spencer Bast, Collin Shirley, Joe Gatenby and Rudolfs Balcers also scored for the Blazers (14-10-1).
Spokane (8-8-5) got two goals from Keanu Yamamoto while Hayden Ostir and Ethan McIndoe had one apiece. Dawson Weatherill gave up four goals on 12 shots in 26:11 before being replaced by Jayden Sittler, who made eight saves in relief.
