This month Edgars Club is giving you the opportunity to watch two incredible ballet performances for up to 20% less.
Stars of American Ballet
For the first time in over 30 years, galas by the Stars of American Ballet, presented by Joburg Ballet CEO Dirk Badenhorst, will be performed at the Teatro at Montecasino on 20, 21 and 22 June 2014.
The troupe’s performers hail from such distinguished companies as the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet and Mexico’s Ballet de Monterrey. Two South African ballerinas will also be joining the ensemble cast. Highlights include showpieces from such major classics as Le Corsaire, Don Quixote and Diana and Actaeon.
Eminent South African artist Ernst de Jong will paint pieces to serve as the backdrop to the show. The artwork will be displayed on super-clear nine-metre HD LED screens – a first in South Africa.

Russian Ballet Stars
After bringing several impressive international ballet galas to South Africa, Badenhorst is presenting an exclusively Russian ballet performance at Joburg Theatre on 4, 5 and 6 July 2014.
Russian Ballet Stars features top dancers from five of Russia’s greatest ballet companies, including the Bolshoi and the Mariinsky. Their show will include highlights from beloved ballet classics such as Swan Lake, Tosca, The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and more.
