“It our pleasure in announcing that INZBC have signed an MOU with The NZ National Fieldays Society™ which is also a milestone for our organization. In the spirit of the MOU, we are organising this Agri-Tech focused Summit, just 2 days before the Fieldays event. The interest in Fieldays is immense, not only locally but from around the world, and the visiting delegates from India will surely carry back some useful insights by what they see and learn along with the memories of the hospitality they receive in New Zealand” Anthony said further.
Opening new doors for businesses, the summit will touch upon areas like major trends and future market opportunities in the sector, technology advancements, animal husbandry for increased productivity, scope of growth in dairy farming, etc.
For past few years, India New Zealand Business Council has been very successful in bringing together networks of business and organizations including key companies and policymakers who are interested in developing trade between India and New Zealand. Focus of the summit this year is Agritech which is particularly relevant to both countries and is an area with great potential for collaborations. Attending this summit will not only equip attendees with knowledge on opportunities in agritech sector, but also help to get connected with excellent speakers and business community in the sphere.
According to the recent figures, Agriculture is the backbone of New Zealand economy, with over 95 percent of agricultural production exported. As one of the world’s most efficient agricultural economies, with respected pastoral farming expertise and high quality food production systems, New Zealand is well-positioned to work with other countries like India who have got billions to feed.
As India looks to increase its agricultural output, there is great need—and a growing market—for sophisticated mechanized tools and equipment. There is a significant opportunity for kiwi businesses to get access to networks of business from India.
