Hi guys First off I drive a 2005 Cobalt with a 2.2L.
My issues are these. Okay took my car on a road trip to California and after driving for 3 hours it was running fine. Cruise control was working then suddenly cruise control fails, Speedometer goes to 0 mph. Vehicle Keeps running but I notice that the shifts are kinda rough. I was forced to keep driving on because I chose to drive at night and when I arrived in San Francisco 9 hours later. I hooked up a computer to scan the car. Here are the codes I got:
P0722, P0700, P0171
I understand one is about the fuel being lean and the other 2 are with the Output speed sensor. Here is what I did. I replaced the Output sensor because it only cost $15. Wiggled around the wiring to see what could cause the issue with the car not getting signal from the Output speed sensor. I test drove the car and it still had the same issues with shifting and no speedo. I read on a other post somewhere that it possibly could be the connection. I wanted to come to the experts here to see what they think could be the issue.
