Hit the road in Morocco and discover some of the most important historical and cultural sites in the land. Explore the deepest corners of the country, traveling by air-conditioned minibus, and led by a professional guide.Visit bustling medinas, olive groves, royal palaces, and Roman ruins. Day 1: Marrakech – Demnate – Ouzoud (Meals: L, D)

Depart from Marrakech early morning heading toward Demnate with its beautiful olive groves. After driving over the Imi N’Ifri Bridge, stop off for a mint tea and savor the view. Have lunch in Demnate and stay overnight in Ouzoud.

Day 2: Ouzoud – Beni Mellal – Khénifra – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez (Meals: B, L, D)

Wake up early for breakfast before departing for Fez. Travel 217 miles (350 kilometers) across the mountains of the middle Atlas through Beni-Mellal, the bustling agricultural market, where you will stop for lunch. Continue past the limestone plateaus, cascading rivers, volcanic peaks, and cedar forests. Dinner and overnight in Fez.

Day 3: Fez (Meals: B, L, D)

After breakfast, explore Fez. This is the oldest of the imperial cities. Visit the medieval Median and eat lunch in a traditional restaurant. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Fez.

Day 4: Fez – Meknes – Chefchaouen (Meals: B, L, D)

After breakfast, your guide will take you on a tour of Meknes. Afterwards, visit the attic stables of Moulay Ismail, and Bab Mansour, the most famous door in the whole of North Africa. Stop for lunch and explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the birthplace of Moulay Idriss. Continue to Chefchaouen, one of the most picturesque small towns in the Rif Mountains. Have dinner and stay overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Tétouan – Tangier (Meals: B, L, D)

Today you will explore Chefchaouen, known as the blue city. Admire the blue-glazed houses, and learn about the town’s former Jewish population. Stop at Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Royal Palace, and continue to Tangier for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Tangier – Asilah – Larache – Rabat (Meals: B, L, D)

After breakfast, explore the mythical city of Tangier. Visit the caves of Hercules, before departing to Asilah. Stop off for lunch in Larache, and set of again toward Rabat. Dinner and overnight in Rabat.

Day 7: Rabat – Casablanca – El Jadida – Oualidia (Meals: B, L, D)

Take a tour through Rabat, a modern capital, and the seat of the Royal Palace, parliament, and the embassies. Depart for Casablanca, the economic capital and second town of Africa. Continue on to El Jadida, a Portuguese town with a UNESCO listed status. Learn about the Portuguese occupation of the 16th century. Stop for lunch and continue to Oualidia Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Oualidia – Safi – Essaouira (Meals: B, L, D)

After breakfast, take a short visit Oualidia, a village of fishermen. Depart for Essaouira via Safi, formerly known as Asfi, an important port since Roman times, though mainly known for sardines! Eat lunch, then continue on to Essaouira. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Essaouira – Taroudant (Meals: B, L, D)

Today you will explore the Median of Essaouira. Afterward, depart for Taroudant, the old capital of the Souss and a typical Moroccan city. Visit Souks and discover the world of Berber pottery. This town offers more than a complete change of scenery; it is abundant with crafts from the famous jewelry souk, to copper craftwork, leather, and carved stone. Dinner and overnight in Taroudant.

Day 10: Taroudant – Aoulouz – Taliouine – Taznakhte – Ouarzazate (Meals: B, L, D)

Travel the Anti Atlas Mountains through scenery of desert and curious-shaped mountains. After stopping off at the beautiful oasis town of Taliouine, visit the capital of Saffron. See Taznakht, a Berber town well known for its handmade Berber carpets. Enjoy lunch and continue on to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 11: Ouarzazate – Zagora (Meals: B, L, D)

Depart in the morning from Ouarzazate to Agdez, passing over the Tizi-n-Tinfifite Mountain pass. After a cup of tea or morning coffee in Agdez, continue via the Draa valley. Stop at Kasbah Tamnougalte for lunch and continue to Zagora, the largest oasis in the Draa valley, especially famous for its dates. Continue to Tamegroute with a visit to the Koranic library and the local potteries, which produce all the green pottery that you will see in the south. Dinner and overnight in Zagora.

Day 12: Zagora – Nekob – Tazzarine – Alnif – Erfoud – Merzouga (Meals: B, L, D)

After breakfast, depart for Merzouga through the unique desert landscape, sprinkled with oasis. Stop for lunch in a local restaurant on the way. Continue on towards the Merzouga dunes. You have the choice between spending the night in an air-conditioned hotel room or sleeping under the stars in a bivouac, a make-shift shelter.

Day 13: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tineghir – Boumalen Dadès (Meals: B, L, D)

Set off toward Tinerhir along the Ziz Valley, surrounded by tamarisks and palm trees. Visit a palm grove followed by an adventure inside the Todra gorges, along an impressively high and narrow canyon. Stop for lunch and continue to the Boumalen Dades running along the Dadès Valley on the 1001 Kasbahs road. Dinner and overnight in Boumalen Dades.

Day 14: Boumalen Dadès – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast set off towards Marrakech via Ouarzazate. Formerly a Foreign Legion outpost in the southern Kasbah region, Ouarzazate has been notably used as a location backdrop by many epic films such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, The Mummy, 7 Days in Tibet, Babel, and Alexander the Great. Visit the restored Taourirt Kasbah, and stop for lunch in Ait Ben Haddou. Drive to Marrakech where the tour will end.
