Hello friends! Anya here today to share a set of valentines we made for my daughter’s class using the beautiful “Flora №1” collection by Carta Bella.
When it comes to making multiple gifts or cards, I am always looking for tips that can save me time as well as money.
Let me show you how you can make these in a few simple and easy steps, without purchasing any extra supplies, besides the ones you already own in your crafty corner!
To make these cute gift bags, I cut a few 12 x 12 pieces of pattern paper into 3 x 12 long strips. You will get four strips from each sheet of paper. Each one needs to be scored at 1.5”, 6” and 7.5” marks. Tape a heart shaped die to the 3 x 4.5 portion of the strip and cut a window. If you don’t have a heart shaped die, you can use a circle, square, scalloped circle or oval instead. Fold all scored lines and your basic bag construction is done.
For the inside of the bags, I used printable cards, that were cut to 3 x 4.25 and a plain sandwich bag.
All you need to do is slide the card into the bag, fold the bag over the card from both sides, and tape it down. Add the treats into each bag. Fold the top of the bag and staple it together.
To decorate my valentines, I used a number of dies and solid pattern paper by Echo Park Paper. For the doily, I used Designer Heart Doily Die. The banner was cut from the Designer Banners Set Designer Banners Set. The word “love” was found in Silhouette Love Die Set. The cute little hearts were cut with the Designer Princess Die Set.
For a finishing touch, I used boy and girl shaped dies from the same Silhouette Love Die Set to make the gifts a little more personalized. You can also add a bow and enamel dots to decorate the gifts.
