A version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 for Verizon Wireless has been confirmed for a July release.
Verizon Wireless says that with a Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE connectivity will be released in July, not the Galaxy S2.
The 4-boasting TouchWiz Samsung Galaxy S2 has now been confirmed for a July release on Verizon Wireless . According to Computerworld date, a Verizon spokesperson confirmed that the Galaxy S2 will go on sale in July, but could not give a specific release. The fact that Verizon did not introduce the original Galaxy until September of last year, however, makes us believe that Samsung fans will be happy with whatever carrier selects the date for July.
Verizon Wireless recently released the Samsung Droid Charge - one of the carrier’s 4G LTE smartphones – but it remains to be seen Whether the Galaxy S2 will offer such connectivity too. Regardless, what it will most definitely get is the same 4.3-inch AMOLED Super Plus screen as the batch. Based on the globally Galaxy S2, it should also offer 4 TouchWiz atop Android 2.3, a dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording.
The TouchWiz 4 experience offers several improvements for consumers and business users alike. A new customizable user experience taps into the social hub, Game Hub, Hub and Readers Music Hub in order to Provide you with information in real time across five homescreens. Customization options include the phone’s photo gallery, music, video, social networking services, e-mail, notes, games, weather forecasts and more.
The Game Hub lets users download high quality games, providing 12 social network games and 13 premium games including Gameloft’s Real Football 2011th Additionally, the Galaxy S2 comes equipped with a range of business features, including Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync on Device Encryption, VPN (Virtual Private Network), MDM (mobile device management) and Cisco WebEx.
Additional specs of the global Galaxy S2 include 1GB of RAM, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB/32GB storage capacity, Wi-Fi wireless N and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, NFC, as well as a 1650 mAh battery.
