Position: Nursery Manager

Salary: Up to £28,000 (Depending on experience)

Currently recruiting for a hardworking, dynamic, creative Nursery Manager to work in a brand new setting in Leatherhead. Newly opened on Monday 2nd March 2015, this is a new and exciting opportunity, which will allow you to be involved in the business from the start. You will be expected to work alongside the two owners in the day to day running of the setting. With a healthy capacity of 80 children, from the ages of 3 months up to 5 years, Little Oaks has a huge potential for growth. As the business grows, and your targets are achieved, your pay and benefits will be reviewed accordingly. Job Description for Nursery Manager

1.To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Nursery.

2.To provide a child-centered environment where children are cared for in a safe, caring and stimulating way that ensures their individual needs are met within a group setting.

3.To ensure the national standards for the registration of childcare are maintained at all times.

4.To implement the nursery settings Equal Opportunities Policy in all aspects of the Nursery and other childcare services.

5.To take responsibility for quality assurance and compliance with all applicable legislation, including Health and Safety, within the Nursery environment.

6.To work in partnership with the Early Years Department, local authority childcare/educational providers, health providers.

7.To take part in recruitment and to support a team of staff to meet statutory ratios and include contingency staffing where appropriate.

8.To develop and review applicable policies and procedures and then to ensure that the Nursery operates within the framework set.

9.To establish and deliver an effective curriculum, which includes assessment, planning and evaluation.

10.To ensure the implementation of the EYFS curriculum for all children 0-5 years.

11.To develop and maintain procedures for regular review and assessment of each child's progress in partnership with parents.

12.To implement and manage an effective parent liaison programme, ensuring regular communication and interaction with parents.

13.To receive and deal with complaints positively in accordance with procedures.

14.To promote all activities being provided by the Nursery.

15.To be responsible for marketing the Nursery through the development and implementation of marketing strategy which includes the promotion of Children's Tax credits and other benefits available to parents.

16.To regularly supervise all staff, and be able to identify areas of strength and weakness to ensure adequate training is provided or arranged as required by the Nursery Manager.
