Java Developer/Agile Mentor - CONTRACT - Digital/Finance - Manchester
Looking a highly experienced Agile Java Developer (Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST, JavaScript, Angular) with excellent experience and enthusiasm in Agile (XP, TDD/BDD, Pair Programming, Lean, KanBan).
The successful Agile Java Developer will be joining a long term project at the initial stages (started this week) based in central Manchester tasked with leading a large scale Agile transformation and Digital delivery project. It would be a 12 month contract initially with likely extensions after that.
As well as being an excellent software engineer with great enthusiasm towards technology in general, we're looking for someone equally passionate about Agile who can mentor other developers on methods such as TDD/BDD and play a pivotal role in promoting Agile within a changing business.
The successful candidate must have considerable experience working on large scale web projects in strong Agile (XP, TDD, Pair Programming, Lean, KanBan, and Continuous Integration) environments - TDD being a major point of interest as well as a DevOps, Continuous Deployment mind-set.
