Agile Coach Description

The Agile Coach will act as a change agent along-side software development leadership to support teams and individuals through their Agile journey. As a coach in an enterprise organization, it is important to be able to scale Agile practices, coach cross-team collaboration and allowing for gradual transitions focused at addressing specific pain points.

Responsibilities include:

Providing Agile coaching and guidance at both leadership and team levels

Lead development and delivery of Agile training, establishment of Agile standards and implementation of meaningful Agile metrics

Facilitate the identification & adoption of Agile tools that will benefit both the teams and the business

Facilitate and organize Agile Community of Practice and Guilds

Hands-on engagement with cross-functional Agile teams to guide them through transition and on-going learning

Collaborate with leadership to provide directional guidance on Agile adoption within the organization and adaptation of project oversight

Coach leadership on cultural transitions and management role transitions

Facilitate Agile assessments to measure the health and maturity of teams' Agile practices with constructive feedback to assist in growth

Qualifications

5 years of experience on Agile teams in various roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner or Developer, preferably in an enterprise organization

7 years of overall experience in project management of various philosophies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative, etc.)

Hands-on engagement in product vision & roadmapping, release planning, backlog management and servant leadership of software development teams

Experience with Agile transformations in large organizations

Expert knowledge of the practices, concepts and processes related to the adoption of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and XP

Working understanding of scaling frameworks such as SAFe, DAD, Nexus and LeSS

Bachelors degree in technology, communications or business area or equivalent experience

Certification in Scrum (CSM, CSPO, CSD), SAFe or PMI-ACP a plus

Excellent coaching, mentoring and communication skills
