Dog Walker Charged with Muliple Counts of Animal Cruelty Following Confession to Pet Detective

Abbotsford, British Columbia – In May, full-time dog walker Emma Paulsen quite literally screwed the pooch when she left six dogs under her care in a hot car. The cabin heat proved fatal for the dogs. Initially, she told the six pet owners that she took the dogs to Langley Dog Park and took a quick restroom break before intending to let them free roam. Upon her return, she said the dogs has been kidnapped. The owners must have really loved their dogs because they hired a private investigator aka pet detective to locate the dog. They also enlisted the aid of Petsearchers.com.

Upon questioning from the investigator, Paulsen put an end to her charade and confessed to leaving the dogs in the back of her truck while she was in Richmond. She explained that the heat had killed all of them. The B.C. SPCA got involved and was determined that she not only should be charged for the deaths of the dogs, but should face a single count for each of the six dogs.

The Crown counsel has concurred and Paulsen now faces six counts of animal cruelty under the Criminal Code of Canada. It seems that the SPCA is looking to make an example out of her. It isn’t clear where she disposed of the dogs.
