Today I have some last minute present ideas for the little foodies in your life! As you may have seen if you’re a regular reader of the Eats Amazing blog, this  year I decided to try something a little different here on the blog and create some really fun alternative gift guides for children – all based around food! As Eats Amazing is all about encouraging children to have fun and experiment with their food, I thought it would fun to come up with lists of gift ideas for foodie children – either those who love food and/or cooking already, or those that could do with some encouragement to be more adventurous with food.

Last month I shared two lists of gorgeous gift ideas – food themed toys and games for children and cooking and baking present ideas for children and today I have my final present list for this year – a more general foodie themed gift guide for children of all ages.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to keep the guide as accurate as possible, all prices shown are the RRP – actual prices may vary (do check out the links, you may well find some bargains!).  This post contains some Amazon affiliate links, which means I may receive a small amount of commission on items purchased through the links.

A great place to start with foodie gifts is fun tableware. Enthusiasm for food can be improved enormously with the right plate – from personal experience I’ve found that my boys love to have their own plates and can get really quite attached to them!

This set of eco-friendly bamboo tableware (£25.95) from Croque-Maman  makes a perfect gift for babies and toddlers. We’ve had a set for about 6 months and despite daily use it still looks brand new. It’s beautiful, hard wearing and tactile, and comes with a gorgeous cotton bib that’s perfect for toddlers who are outgrowing smaller baby bibs. As well as the panda design (modelled by my youngest below), there’s also a gorgeous orangutan design available.

Divided plates are fantastic for younger children and can help parents serve up a more balanced meal too. This Constructive Eating  set (£29.99) has got to be the most fun plate I’ve ever seen and there’s also a Fairy Garden set available too. A more budget friendly divided plate option is this gorgeous Colourful Creatures Melamine Divided Plate (£8.95) from dotcomgiftshop which will be under the tree for my youngest this year.

For older children (and adults!), Joules have a beautiful range of dog themed tableware. We have several of the plates and mugs (£9.95 each) and there also matching egg cups available (£19.95 for a set of 4).

Talking of egg cups, these fun Paint Your Own Egg Cups (£4.99) from Steamer Trading would make a lovely gift for a craft loving child – it’s so great to have a craft that can be used once finished rather than hanging around gathering dust!

For more fun at the table, these Reusable Colouring in Placemats (£20.49) from Croque-Maman would make a lovely gift. Made of soft silicone, they can be cleaned and used again and again and they’re even dishwasher safe! As well as the fun space themed mat below, they also come in Surf, Magic Tree and Cactus designs.

Encourage healthy eating all day long with a fun bento lunch box! Teamed with some bento accessories, like cute food picks, silicone food cups and mini bento cutters, they make great gifts.  There are loads of different designs available (check out my lunch box buying guide for more) but I’ve picked out my favourite fun boxes for this guide. Clockwise from left; Yumbox Classic Bento Box (£24.95), Strawberry Japanese Bento Box (£4.95), Toby Bento Box (£8.95) and Lego Lunch Box (£7.99).

For more lunch box fun, the Lunchpunch sandwich cutter sets (£11.95 each) make a lovely gift. With 5 fun sets to choose from, there’s a design for everyone!

If you’re looking for something a little bit different, the CuteZCute Animal Palz kit (£11.95) would be a very memorable gift! Children can amaze their friends with easy to make animal shaped hard boiled eggs, and the clever set can make mini pocket sandwiches too! You’ll find the full range of CuteZCute sets exclusive to the UK in the Eats Amazing Shop.

There are so many fantastic recipe books out there for children, but this one has got to be the most fun! Roald Dahl fans will love the chance to recreate some of the amazing and revolting recipes from his books, from Mr Twit’s beard food to Stink Bugs’ Eggs! Roald Dahl’s Revolting Recipes is available from Wicked Uncle (£9.99).

If you’d like something a little tastier, check out this amazing vegetable selection! Made entirely from chocolate, children will love this novel way of eating their 5 a day! They  look amazingly realistic, and from first hand experience, I can confirm that they are made from some seriously delicious chocolate! Chocolate Vegetable Set (£8.95) from Wicked Uncle. While you’re there, check out the rest of the Wicked Uncle range – I’ve done a good chunk of my own Christmas Shopping there this year, they have some amazingly different gift ideas!

If you’d like to give some healthier treats, Organix offer a lovely Christmas selection box (£2.99). Little ones will love a box of their favourite snacks, including some festive mini gingerbread men of course! Available exclusively at Boots whilst stocks last.

Baking some cookies for Santa this year? This gorgeous Personalised Christmas Santa Platter (£24.99 from Getting Personal) is the perfect way to serve them. A new Christmas Eve tradition for us this year, I can’t wait to see my boys faces when I bring out the platter with their name on it! I’m looking forward to using it again and again for many Christmas’s to come.

I hope you’ve found some fun present ideas here! For more fantastically foodie gift ideas, be sure to check out my other two foodie kids gift guides; Food Themed Toys and Games Gift Guide.

And my Cooking & Baking Gifts for Children guide.

Happy Christmas shopping!
