Pamela Berger founded her own newspaper, an astounding accomplishment for anyone. But she was ten years old at the time.
“When I was a kid, my parents both worked,” says Pam. “So I would go to their office after school and I’d play with the copy machines.”
Pam’s Digest cost $2 for an entire year’s subscription and offered the best in “family gossip, things heard around the office, or even new ice cream.”
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that when she grew up, Pam founded the Sweet Peach blog, which focuses on artistry around the South. The blog’s even more incredible when you consider that Pam’s a full-time television producer.
Charleston Sweet Spots Map
As much as she enjoys the blog, though, Pam missed paper.
“I always loved paper,” she says. “And even when I started the blog, I was still drawn to maps, things tactile that you can pick up.”
So she created Sweet Peach’s Sweet Spots. Working with illustrator Sarah Neuburger, design consultant Vanessa Dina, and designer Bob Conquest, Pam blended her love for all things Southern and all things tactile.
These stylish maps offer information on her favorite places in various cities (currently Charleston, Atlanta, and Athens). And she’s giving away five signed maps–you pick the city!
