The first time I met Stephen and Jessica Rose of The Peach Truck was on a hot June afternoon in a Nashville parking lot where they were selling Georgia peaches out of the back of their ’64 Jeep Gladiator. I knew right away that these two where special. I walked away not sure if I was woozy from the heat or tasting the most delicious, juiciest peaches I had ever eaten.

It didn’t take me long to find out more about Stephen and Jessica Rose and how they solved the “peach problem” in the Nashville area by selling Georgia peaches from Pearson Farm, which is in Stephen’s hometown in Peach County, Georgia. These days, the Peach Truck is a roving farmers market popping up in parking lots, farmers markets, and alongside food trucks all over Nashville. They even ship their goods across the country through the Farm to Porch Program.

When the Roses came to see our Test Kitchen at Southern Living, none of us wanted them to leave! Their energy and passion for life, food, southern culture and peaches is a thing to marvel. Visit The Peach Truck to see what I’m talking about.
