Game Recap
The Eastview Lightning Girls Varsity basketball team was able to open up the Section 3-4A tournament with a 75-28 win over #8 seeded Eagan on Tuesday night. The Lightning were able to shoot 55% from the field, including 42% from behind the 3 point arc. Eastview had a balanced attack on offense as 4 girls finished in double figures. The Lightning were led by Megan Walstad who finished with a team high 19 points and 8 rebounds. Walstad also finished with 3 assists and 2 blocks. Allie Pickrain with 15 points, Rachel Ranke with 14 points, and Andrea Abrams had 10 points to round out the double figure scoring. Pickrain also finished with 3 assists and 2 steals; Ranke with 4 rebounds, 4 assist, and 4 steals; and Abrams with 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. 6 other Lightning girls were also able to score in the win. Kierra Walker (5 points), Macy Guebert (3 points, 2 assists, 2 steals), Lauren Glas (3 points), Emma Carpenter (2 points, 4 assists), Claudia Pueschner (2 points), and Jordan Morris (2 points). With the win, the Lightning are now 21-6 on the season.
Eastview returns to the court on Saturday, March 4th in the Section semi-finals at Hamline. The Lightning face off against #5 Hastings. Hastings played and beat #4 Park, 48-47 on Tuesday night. Game is at 6:00 pm. Come out and cheer on the Lightning girls as they look to keep their season going! Go Lightning!

*Section semi-finals will be played at 6:00 and 8:00 on Saturday, March 4th
*Section final will be played on Thursday, March 9th at 7:00.
*Both semi-finals and section championship rounds are both played at Hamline University
