January Rewards Double For Information Sent To Crime Stoppers In January!
Lamar – Red River County Crime Stoppers is celebrating January 2017 as Crime Stoppers Month. Lamar–Red River County Crime Stoppers has celebrated Crime Stoppers Month since 1998 by doubling rewards
up to $1,000 maximum for information submitted during Crime Stoppers month that leads to the arrest and indictment of a suspect or suspects wanted for unsolved criminal activity, the location of illegal drugs and narcotics, the recovery of stolen property, or the location of wanted persons.
Crime Stoppers Month has been celebrated annually since officially being proclaimed in September 1986 at the Crime Stoppers International Conference in Edmonton, Alberta. It is a time when Crime Stoppers programs around the world highlight their success.
Lamar–Red River County Crime Stoppers tips have led to the arrest of 2,144 suspects and cleared 3,739 cases. The organization paid rewards totaling $315,000 to 1,048 tipsters. They have recovered property with a value of $2,138,325, and drugs and seized narcotics with a value of $981,487 due to Lamar–Red River County Crime Stoppers tips.
