Pallini - light shaking
Almyridha - Great fun; shaking went on for quite a time.
Koudipidiana - I was on the computer and the house just starting shaking and some things in the kitchen fell off shelves...but I ran out to my balcony just to see wha happened and people came out of buildings and were looking around somewhere nearby an alarm of some sort was going off. My coworker called me and asked if we had an earthquake and I told him "yup" I asked about my other close coworkers and he said he talked to them. So everyone should be okay. I am now thinking how long before a tsunami came?
Herakliion - whole flat was shaking on the 1st floor for about a minute
Heraklion - BOAT TYPE MOVEMENT
Kolimvari - Very noticable shaking
Nahe rhythemo - Leichtes Zittern am Strand. Sonnenschirme wackelten, Alarmanlagen gingen los.
Kato Gouves - light shaking for over a minute
Iraklio - Mancava poco che uscissi di corsa da casa,durato tanto circa 1 minuto
Alexandria ,Egypt - Felt it
Glossa - I was in the pool and could hear a load rumble like thunder and water in the pool stated shaking
Erfus Perama - I did not feel the earthquake at the time but I felt a strong tremor at approx 16.15 in my house. I felt as if I was on a swaying boat.
Souri Vamos - Very strange
Rethimon - Luchter bewoog en rammelde de houten pergola bewoog stevig ( duizelig gevoel kreeg je ervan ) voelde het 1st met men voeten en dan begon alles te bewegen voor ongeveer 1minuut en 30seconden
Almyrida, Kreta - Op t strand bij t plaatsje Almyrida op Kreta. Beving duurde zo'n 15 seconden en na schik eveneens.
Hora sfakion - 2 x achter elkaar om ca 16.15 licht schudden.
Loutraki, Greece - Was sitting at my desk. 3rd floor of building. The shaking (swaying back and forth) lasted for well over a minute. Both I and people around me became very dizzy.
Stalos - Villa shook slightly. Vase fell off table. Was on pool chair and it was shaking.
Itea, Delphi - We're far from the epicenter but I felt it well, at the 3rd floor, It was really long!!!
Heraklion - Building was moving quite a lot and what seemed like a long duration,
Agia galini - Op het strand, schudden van het strandbed.
Chania Kreta - 1620 uur LT. Op reis ten westen van Chania. Matige bevingen voelbaar gedurende ongeveer halve minuut.
Plaka - Light shaking in Plaka. We were in our house and the house started shaking for a few minutes. First light then a little bit heavier. We went to the streets and went back a few minutes later. Nothing broken but it felt really strange. Can we expact more?
Rethymnon - Als of je op een boor zit met storm op zee
Cairo - it was horrible
Agio Apotostioli - Out by the pool in the hotel, people ran out of the nearest restaurant, sunbeds shaking heavy, people nervous. No damages in hotel.
Akrotiri Crete - I was standing in a very strong structure and it as though my legs were getting week under me, a very strange sensation.
Tanta Egypt - I was in my rooom. Ifeel that this building is shaking.
Kissamos - First long strong one I have felt for about 7 years. Whole building shaking, along with trees & parked cars. Lights were swinging for about 5 mins afterwards. (via emsc)
Kato Galatasa W of Chania - Matige bevingen gedurende halve minuut. Op reis in Kalliston hotel , ten westen van Chania
Missiria - Trillingen en het balkon schudde mee.
Agia Galini - korte, zwakke maar duidelijk voelbaar heen en weer bewegen
Agios Georgios - leger roulis par 2 fois dans ma maison ....qq vagues dans la piscine
Heraklion - scared so much
Maleme - We were standing at the beach and wanted to go for a swim, when we both thought we lost our balance :)
Chania - I felt it in the swimming pool, as my feet were on the bottom and started shaking. Some noise, Some wind, for about 8 seconds. No harm.
Sitia, Crete - Weak shaking for a kinda long timne.
Episkopi beach - I was lying on a sunbed and thought initially that my mother was jerking it to get my attention. Some people jumped up and ran inside, whereas others playing ballgames didn't seem to notice.
Kolymvari - Worst one we had in the 7 years we have lived here & both my wife & next door neighbours left feeling physically sick (via emsc)
Gythio Peleponnes - Our campervan rocked and our chairs as well
Gerani - Outside in hotel pool area it started to feel like waves passing by. No visible damage what so ever. People got bit nervous, children crying but it was soon over, back to normal. (via emsc)
Piarco - 10:10 pm. Standing during an earthquake. The ground felt wave like . My pets seemed very confused. It was strong for the majority.
Platanias - Swaying of hotel on second floor. Tv and stand up lamp started swaying pictures fell of walls very disorientated moved to outside hotel noore affects as yet. (via emsc)
Malta - Felt very weak shaking.
Anidri - Anidri village 2k from Paleochora....the house was shaking from side to side ornaments fell to the floor.First a huge gust of wind then noise under ground and then the house shaking...so very frightening.
Retthymon - Vreemde gewaarwording op het terras in de oude haven van Retthymon. Ik dacht dat degene achter mij zo zat te tikken, totdat het een minuut vrij hard ging..
Agia Galini - On the beach people noticed sun umbrellas swaying and a slight rocking motion.
Matala Crete - after a soft kind of swinging in the street like walking an unstable jetty for maybe 5 sec it continued lightly for some time fading out during approx one minute. Locals seemed unaffected, tourists exited or alarmed.
Hersonissos - In Hersonissos, 20 km from Heraklion, strange feeling, cats ran indoors and dogs started to howl!
Rethimno Hotel Creta Star - Im Boden fest verankerte Sonnenschirme fingen an zu schwingen. Die Menschen schauten sich ratlos an. Die Erde schwankte doch recht lange. Mein erster Blick ging zum Hotel ... das stand noch ... mein zweiter Blick zum Meer ... wann kommt der Tsunami?
Kissamos - Aujourd'hui en Crète à Kissamos vers 16h . Très forte secousse tout bougeait . Très impressionnant !
Chania - I was in the smallest room of the apartment, which was a stroke of luck, as it happens. When it did happen I very quickly recognised it as an earthquake, but as it escalated I soon realised this to be by far the strongest I'd ever experienced. Seemed to go on for close to a minute; thankfully the apartment withstood the swaying with far more calm than me, given the empirical evidence from the smallest room in the apartment!
Santorini, Greece - Felt initial shock followed seconds later by waves at right angles. Thought it might be caused by large buses passing nearby but considering the pattern of shaking and the duration, decided it was an earthquake. Could feel distinct waves at right angles to each other.
Chania - Lasted very long!
Analipsi - Senti l'immeuble et les objets bouger, comme une grosse impression de vertiges.
Chania - was in supermarket and all the produce jumped off the shelves onto the floor. They had to close the shop (large Marinopoulos at Mournies)
Strand, Kalathas - ich war mit meiner Freundin am Strand von Kalathas nahe Chania. Wir spuerten ein starkes Schwanken ueber einen gefuehlten langen Moment. Ich habe schon mehrere Erdbeben erlebt, dies war das staerkste und laengste
Heraklion, Greece - We were on the pier adjacent to the historic Venetian Fort Koules at 4pm when we felt the ground shake for less than 10 seconds.
Finicounda - felt like moderate shaking
Kato Stalos - Building shook significantly. Went outside to see waves in swimming pool. No damage noted (new building).
Vamos - everything shook
Kobonada, Kythira island - We were on the beach and were rocked from side to side
laytos beach, Analipsy - Im staying in the sensatori hotel in Analipsy. The room started rocking back and forth and a few glasses fell off the table.
Xania - Staying in Old Town Xania and knew immediately that it was an earthquake, enough to get the adrenaline flowing and to leave the building quickly. Nothing fell and no damage in this particular street. After 10 minutes people seemed to be going about their lives as if nothing had happened.
Iguana Beach, 3 km west of Chania - we could see earth moving and cars shaking. Cars alarms went off. Many were scared. We were also scared, but happy to be on a beach, and not in a building.
Strand Komos bij Pitisidie - We zaten op het strand toen het begon te beven, ik dacht eerst dat ik duizelig was, maar daar was geen aanleiding voor. Toen zag ik de bomen schudden en realiseerde dat de aarde beefde. een heel rare gewaarwording. We hadden al vaker een aardbeving in deze omgeving meegemaakt maar altijd 's nachts. Dit was een heel nieuwe ervaring

Prines - It felt as if someone was shaking my sunbed.
Paleochora, crete - Psychedelic experience! I were on the 2th floor in 4 story hotel. Walls and floor waving heavily back and fourth. Ran outside really frightened.
Gavalochori, Vamos - Was on the 1st floor of the local museum with a group of tourists. Felt like the floor dancing a bit, rather funny feeling in the knees. No sound, everything remained in place. Some tourists calmed when I smiled and said: 'You've just experienced a quake!'
acrotiri chania - just felt dizzy
Gavalachori - I was woken from a sleep by the bed rocking. The rest of the family were by the pool and felt the ground move and saw the water splashing out of the pool. Ripples continued in the puddles around the pool for several minutes. Hanging utensils in the kitchen were swinging for some minutes after.
Rethymnon - Was at rockas beach bar on sun bed and I crap my costume...then had to go for a dip to clean. Strongest shake yet. I really hope they find gas quickly!!!
herakliom - Wat me opvalt is dat we de schokken van rond 13:00u niet of nauwelijks gevoelt hebben, om 15:30u rende in heraklion iedereen de straat op
Msida Malta - Things started to mildly shake on 4yh floor. The bag next to my leg stsrted tapping me! Reported from daughter via Skype live as it was happening.
Georgioupolis - Stand auf einer Brücke, die erst nur schwankte, sich dann aber stark aufschaukelte.
Ghonios, central Crete - Didn't notice tremor while driving Suzuki Jimmy. But it lost traction on switchback turn at less than 30km/hr, so its rear wheels bounced sideways to middle of road. Had to counter steer, as in snow. I inspected road for oil, pebbles, etc. Only dry pavement. Est. time: 2:00pm - 2:15pm.
Palaiochora - Secousse clairement ressentie sur une petite plage a l' ouest deDe Palaiochora.
Pas de bruit entendu, il y avait beaucoup de vent toute la joigne.
J'ai perdu l'equlibre, il y a eu deux secousses, très brèves , on a tout de suite su

Hersonisos - J'étais allongé sur mon litce 12 octobre 2013 vers 16h10 heure locale, et j'ai ressenti une secousse d'environ 40 secondes.C'est ma première expérience en la matière

Agii Apostoli - Significant shaking and bed was wobbling. Didn't last very long.
Chania, Nea Hora - Having been in bigger quakes in Tokyo and Arizona, I would say this one felt more like 4.5 than 6.5 (on the ground floor) and lasted less than a minute - maybe 30 secs. Although having 4 storeys creaking above your head is a bit mad.
