Just a few days before Christmas, the entire DZ Restaurants management team came together and donated $1000 to The Saratoga Economic Council Soup Kitchen.

Open seven days a week The Saratoga Economic Council Soup Kitchen serves anywhere from 80 to 125 meals on a typical day, and is supported entirely by donations.

Giving back to the community is important to owner of DZ Restaurants David Zecchini. “It’s so important for you to give back to the community especially during Christmas, the season of giving,” Zecchini said. “The need for donations to the Soup Kitchen is always important, but now as temperatures drop well below freezing people find themselves having to make choices between food, heat for their home, and medication and sometimes food goes by the wayside which can have tragic results.”

Lunch at The Saratoga Economic Council Soup Kitchen is served 7 days a week Monday – Saturday 11:45 – 1:00 pm and Sunday 3:00pm — 4:00pm. It is open to the public and the only information collected is the number of meals served each day. The Saratoga Economic Council Soup Kitchen is located in the Presbyterian New England Congregational Church, 24 Circular St in Saratoga Springs, NY and is supported entirely by donations. Information about donating to the Saratoga EOC can be found at http://www.saratogaeoc.org/donations.html
