The Logistics Assistant will support the Logistics team providing assistance on their day to day activities.

REPORTING:

This position reports to the Logistics and Facilities Manager, or his/her designee.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with administration work involved in the Logistics department.

Assist with monthly rolling stock receipts, reconciling inventory records with physical counts.

Assist the Inventory coordinator to ensure accurate inventory control database system and records are maintained properly

Monitor the inventory tracker to ensure that all records are maintained updated and assets are tagged.

Monitor the supplies storage to ensure goods are stored correctly in order to minimize possibility of damage or deterioration.

Assisting and coordinating events for the ATAR project and ensure proper facilities and support is provided.

Assist the travel coordinator in travel arrangements, and ensure all staff have proper documentation before travelling.

Track all ATAR travel logistics issues related to visas, flight bookings and work permits.

Monitoring of vehicle licenses and coordinate and assist the Motor Pool Coordinator in the renewal process.

Assist the Motor Pool Coordinator to ensure project vehicles are properly serviced and maintained.

Assist the Motor Pool Coordinator to ensure fuel consumption is recorded and monitored as per standards as well as reviewing the vehicle log books for accuracy.

Ensure office and residential premises are in good shape and properly maintained.

Organize files both hard copy and electronically in the share drive.

Assisting in preparing monthly inventory, Travel, Motor pool and logistics report.

Identify the unserviceable or damaged items and prepare the disposition form in coordination with Inventory Specialist and Logistics Manager.

Perform any other appropriate tasks that support the overall project, as assigned by the Logistics Manager or his/her designee.
