As a frontend developer, you will be taking the front-end of Twitter Counter to the next level. This includes putting together new pages, features and elements, improving performance, visualizing data and tackling multi-platform challenges.

While developing you will also be making sure that our front-end code is efficient and fits into a scalable structure. You will get a chance to use and experiment with new technologies to ensure that Twitter Counter is always moving forward on a technical front-end level and that are users are provided the best experience possible.

Given our fairly large mobile userbase, you will also be making specific development choices to ensure quick load- and rendering-times on a variety of mobile devices.

You will be working as part of the development team, working with back-enders to get the data you need, and setting up controllers and using them to fill up your views with awesome content. Next to that, you will also be working with designers to turn their creations into a reality.

Who might be a great fit

You MUST be able to legally work in the Netherlands to be considered for this position!

You identify as a front-end developer, using new and exciting technologies to bring dynamic webapps to life.

You have 3+ years of full time front-end experience, big preferance to native JS.

You can come up with efficient methods of solving problems with regards to rendering, markup structure and compatibility issues.

You have a bit of an eye for design and smooth UI, and can easily turn designs into real pages.

Great eye for detail, you’ve easily spotted the spelling mistake(s) in this job description.

Passionate about the internet and web-app design trends, you have a rather solid view of how things should be designed well.

You dream in HTML & CSS, and have strong arguments as to which one is better: LESS, SASS or SCSS.

You are a Javascript and jQuery pro and get super upset when people don’t properly cache their variables.

You also have a firm understanding of PHP and can easily use the language to make your views dynamic.

You’re familiar with Git and MVC structures and are comfortable working with them on a daily basis.

You are living or want to live in or around Amsterdam.

You are comfortable speaking English throughout the day. We are quite an international team.
