A screening of “Inside Out” turned upside down when an Ohio movie theater accidentally replaced the kids’ cartoon with a gruesome horror movie.
An audience full of parents and children expected to catch the new Pixar flick when they settled into their seats at the Danbarry Cinema in Middletown last week.
But after the previews, “Insidious: Chapter 3” started playing — and showed a horrific scene of children being murdered, the Journal-News reported.
Mom Jazmyn Moore said she rushed her five kids out of the theater as the bloody scene played out on the screen, she wrote on the newspaper’s Facebook page.

Parents and kids at Ohio’s Danbarry Cinema were expecting to watch “Inside Out,” but “Insidious: Chapter 3″ started playing instead.
The pictures of kids being bound and killed now haunt her own children, she said.
“I got our money back but the damage is already done … my children are terrified and keep asking questions,” she wrote.
A manager at the Danbarry Cinema confirmed the mix-up to the newspaper and said the moviegoers were given a free movie pass and an upgrade to watch “Inside Out” in 3-D.
Representatives from the theater did not immediately return the Daily News’ request for further comment.
