The stage is set for the annual World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) “Showcase of the Immortals” TONIGHT (Sun., April 6, 2014) inside Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
WrestleMania 30 will be headlined by a championship title fight which will be made official once the show progresses, as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton defends his title against Batista and another competitor to be determined in a triple threat match.
The vacant slot is up for grabs when Daniel Bryan goes up against Triple H earlier in the evening. The winner of that match competes against the champion, as well as Batista, headlining the mega extravaganza.
Then again, this is pro wrestling and anything (like a Fatal Four Way) can happen.
The Undertaker will be looking to keep his undefeated streak intact against former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, as “The Beast Incarnate” aims to be the first competitor ever to one up “The Phenom” in WrestleMania history. ‘Taker’s streak stands at an incomparable 21-0.
After weeks of torment, John Cena will lock horns with Bray Wyatt, in a singles match sure to ignite the crowd. It will be Wyatt’s first WrestleMania appearance. Also on the card, one of wrestling’s most powerful and groundbreaking stables, The Shield, will be looking to topple the team of Kane and his partners, former WWE Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws.
Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, The Usos and The Real Americans are also in action, among others, and the immortal Hulk Hogan will serve as host.
