Following on the heels of AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, Cox, DirecTV and others, Mediacom is the latest broadband and TV provider to try their hand at the home security game. According to a company announcement, Mediacom has partnered with Comporium Communications to offer home security and automation gear that will be provided by iControl -- the same company that offers security and automation services for Comcast' Xfinity Home and Time Warner Cable's IntelligentHome services. The company has yet to announce how much their services will cost, or when they'll be available to consumers.
