More than a month after the transfer began, former Verizon customers in California, Texas and Florida being transferred to Frontier continue to report problems. Notable hotspots continue to show up for Frontier on Downdetector, and users in our forums note that Frontier DNS servers remain unsteady, Frontier support continues to be difficult to reach, and when accessible are slow to resolve even the simplest of provisioning or repair issues for new customers. In short, the three-state transition of 2.2 million subscribers remains more than a little ugly.

Customers in Florida tell the Pasadena Star News they're still going long stretches without any service whatsoever.

We re still without Internet, and it s been about eight days, complains one user. My wife was finally able to speak to someone from Frontier after hours of trying to reach them.

They re telling us that our router isn t configured to Frontier s server, he said. They ran me through some basic hoops, like unplugging the computer, but I m still getting no results. My wife can access the Internet on her phone, but that runs up charges. And I can t get the Internet through my personal computer.

Users in Texas are equally frustrated.

"I've never experienced anything like this and I feel helpless," one customer tells the local Dallas NBC affiliate. "'We called every day every night and it just goes into a black hole."

If you're a Frontier customer, you can find threads in our Frontier forum regarding the transfer in Texas, Florida, and California. While many customers have had a smooth experience, just as many if not more continue to say they're seeing a wide variety of problems with service and support. More than a few of our forum regulars say they're switching to Time Warner Cable or Bright House Networks, who when its all said and done will likely enjoy a major new subscriber windfall in impacted states.

For its part, Frontier says the company continues to work hard on the integration.

"When you have a transition of this size and geographic scale, there will be issues that need to be addressed which is what we re doing," Frontier says of the ongoing problems.
