Mzansi Magic’s popular reality TV show Diski Divas, South Africa’s answer to Footballers Wives, is set to return for a second season next year and will once again give viewers a glimpse into the lives of the wives and girlfriends (wags) of Mzansi’s soccer players.

It has been revealed that Felicia Modise, Teko Modise’s ex-wife, is the only diva from the first season who is returning to the show for the second season. The previous season featured Felicia, Wendy Parker, Katlego Mohoaduba, Nonhle Ndala and Gaoitswe ‘Gigi’ Pule, but Wendy and Katlego were axed from the show following an altercation with Nonhle at Kaya FM studios.

Felicia will be joined by Thandeka Nhleko, the ex-wife of former Kaizer Chiefs legend Nkosinathi Nhleko. Thandeka will take us through her recent divorce to the ex-star after 15 years of marriage and she and Felicia will give the other ladies insight into what it’s like to be married to a soccer star.

Felicia and Thandeka will be joined by Big Brother Mzansi contestant Blue Mbombo, who returns to unpack her failed relationship with ex-fiancé and Black Aces player, Okonkwo Onyekachi; Chippa United player Thamsanqa Sangweni’s reserved baby-mama, Kgomotso Machete, who will prove that being linked to the soccer player doesn’t make her life glitz and glam; Kia Ntshole, who has a son with Chippa United’s Mbuyiselo Sambu; and Orlando Pirates player Manti Moholo’s girlfriend Promise Zondo.

Viewers will be taken on a roller coaster ride with these fashionable ladies, experiencing their sacrifices and their ups and downs first hand. They might live flashy lives, but all that glitters is not gold.

The show will start next year on Mzansi Magic channel 161.
