TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF AND HOW YOU GOT INTO BLOGGING?
Rea: Hello, I’m Rea and I’m a 26-year old full-time working mom and wife. I love to call myself a superwoman wannabe because I try to do everything on my own to the best of my abilities. I’m a firm believer of positive thinking and I have a serious passion for living a life of happiness and adventures.
I discovered blogging back in college 7 years ago when my professor required the class to submit “reaction papers” through a WordPress blog. I’ve been wanting to have an online diary and blogging was like a dream come true so I created my own personal blog on WordPress just to document and share my college ups and downs with my circle of friends. I never thought I’d reached 7 years of blogging, but now I’m a Blogger platform user.
WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA OF YOUR BLOG’S NAME, BLISSFUL SNAPSHOTS?
Rea: I’m a lover of bliss and taking snapshots of day to day life. For me, snapshots are not just photos, these are also memories and I want to share these blissful memories by “writing” my snapshots.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BLOGGING?
Rea: Blogging is my happy pill. I love it because it makes me feel good when I write and share my thoughts to the world. I love that blogging inspires me to inspire and allows me to reach other people and learn about them even when they’re halfway around the world from me.
WHAT IS THE NICHE OF YOUR BLOG AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE IT?
Rea: I didn’t even think of a niche when I started blogging. It started as a personal blog but I managed to make some changes here and there when I was able to reach a wider audience. Right now, I call it a lifestyle blog that mainly talks about life lessons and motivation and features my favorite things, places, events, and people.
I chose lifestyle as a niche because of its encompassing nature. I love talking about a lot of things and I feel that a lifestyle blog would capture my love for life and things that I’m really passionate of.
ARE YOU MONETIZING YOUR BLOG? HOW DO YOU MONETIZE YOUR BLOG’S TRAFFIC?
Rea: I just started monetizing my blog last year because I already received a couple of requests for sponsored posts and advertisements and those are the only ones I do until now. I don’t earn much from it because I don’t really approach brands, I just wait for a brand that’s interested with my blog and see if it’s a good fit before I accept.

HOW WAS YOUR BLOGGING SO FAR? HAVE YOU RECEIVED AWARDS AND RECOGNITION SINCE YOU STARTED?
Rea: So far I’m gaining the momentum I need. I’ve been more active than ever with blogging and I love that I get to engage in different activities and events with Cebu Blogging Community.
I didn’t have any major awards and recognitions. I’m honored though to be one of the nominees of Bloggys 2015 and one of the 5 finalists of Best Cebu Blogs Awards 2015 – Photoblog Category.
WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO JUST STARTED BLOGGING
Rea: Enjoy blogging and don’t compare your blog with others. Each of us has our own blog story and I feel that it’s unfair to ourselves when we compare and sulk because other blogs are bigger or more “successful” and have more readers than hours. Keep writing and sharing!.
LASTLY, WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR BLOG IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS?
Rea: As long as it still exists, then I’m good. In the next 5 years, I see my blog as a go-to resource for useful first-hand experiences about life.
