He manages to stall Beerus and Whis by presenting them the delicacies of the planet, however, Majin Buu is ungenerous to Beerus who in retaliation is about to destroy the planet. The Z-Fighters interfere, but to no avail. Finally, Goku arrives and utilizes the Dragon Balls to learn about the Super Saiyan God, which is achieved through a mystic ritual that requires willpower, strength and presence of pure hearted souls to seek out God Ki.
