I want to find out your opinion on Dragon Ball GT cause why not? It's not about the canon thing. It's about what you thought of the show. Personally I think it was okay. It defintely doesn't need the hate it gets from fans. There were a few problems such as Pan as I found her incredibly annoying. But there was also annoying characters in DBZ in my opinion such as Mr Satan sometimes (Especially in the Cell Games Saga he was alright in the Buu Saga). Honestly my only other fault was SSJ4 and Goku doing most of the work. In DBZ it was like "SSJ is good" then "SSJ is useless" all the time and this was no exception with SSJ2 in the Buu Saga after the Majin Vegeta vs Goku fight. Here it's "SSJ4 is the only helpful transformation". I really didn't like that because SSJ was only used three times in the show and each time it was equal except for the Super 17 fight. SSJ3 was barely used which the reason being I can understand but there was nothing else beside from SSJ4. Everything else about SSJ4 was awesome though as was Baby and Omega Shenron and SSJ4 Gogeta. My main fault isn't that or Pan however. It's the fact that after the Baby Saga none of the other characters beside from Goku and Vegeta really did anything. I know in DBZ it had Yamcha, Krillin and Chaiotzu not do much but even they had their moments (Which was quickly ruined for Chaiotzu as Nappa took no damage from the Self Destruct what so ever) here it was only Goku doing some work with Vegeta against Omega Shenron. It got old fast. Uub was suppose to be the successor to Goku right? Then why is he getting owned. It wasn't like that with Gohan most of the time. Vegeta's pride was completely different to the end of DBZ when Vegeta was friends with Goku. Here Vegeta in the Super 17 Saga still got angry over whenever someone talks about Goku and even said "I'm the protector of the Earth now". I'm not saying it's a plothole or anything like that. I'm saying I didn't like that at all. Goku doing all the work I found was stupid. It's like the movies but worse. At least in the movies we did have the characters doing somewhat well at times against the Villain. I mean there was three DBZ movies for Gohan and Vegeta did a lot in Battle of Gods and Return of Cooler. (Vegeta got mad at Bills and helped with the Super Saiyan God transformation and in Return of Cooler he helped Goku quite a bit) I'll say the positives was that the villains was awesome and Ledgic is one of my favorites so far. He also has a awesome personality. SSJ4 I loved besides from that one flaw I said earlier and well the Super 17 Saga was awesome as hell although short. :Overall I liked it a lot. The first half was not every interesting in my opinion, and I too found Pan super annoying. It was a lot like the less action-packed parts of DB, so I wasn't that into it. I loved the second half though, and thought it was every bit as good as DBZ. I agree that they should have featured more fighters other than just Goku most of the time, and Pan and Trunks seem basically useless despite being the other main heroes. I remember Pan "helping" Goku shoot a Kamehameha once and thinking, why doesn't he just go higher than Super Saiyan and do it himself? That is similar to some of the movies though. Anyway, DBZ had a lot of waiting during fights, powering up and looking for the Dragon Balls, and I liked that GT skipped over the nonstop talking of some villains and got right to the face-punching. SS4 was awesome! Once they did that it would be hard to say anything less than SS3 was useful, but fighters like Piccolo, Ultimate Gohan, Vegeta, Uub, Gotenks, and Teincha could have been just as powerful if the writers had leaned that way. What I can say for 100% sure is that I would rather have GT exist than not, because it was awesome. Whether you choose to count it or not in your own personal timeline, it's hard not to appreciate Goku's fights with Super 17, Baby, and Omega. And omg when Goku is fighting the ice and fire dragons, wow!
