Did someone say pie? Lots and lots of pie? Then that must mean it’s time once again for the Pie Social!

The 7th annual Pie Social will take place this Saturday, November 19 at Phoenix Union Bioscience High School. Presented by Roosevelt Row CDC and Phoenix New Times, this event brings the community together for pie-tasting, live music and dancing and much more.

The event begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday and admission is either $12 or patrons can bake and bring two pies. Either option will get you five pie tasting tickets.

If you plan to bring a pie, please note that savory pies, sweet pies and experimental pies are welcome, but please bring pies that do NOT need refrigeration per county health code. That means no cream, ice cream, meat, custard, etc.

The event also features 15 celebrity chefs from around the Valley competing with their pie-making prowess. A few of these chefs include:

Sarah Chisholm of Phoenix Public Market Cafe

Mandy Bublitz of Pane Bianco

Omei Eaglerider and Rene Fierros-Gonzales of Fry’s Cooking School at Signature Marketplace

Victoria Dougherty of Jobot Coffee and Diner

Adriana Gomez of Lola Coffee

Holly Heizenrader of MacAlpine’s Diner & Soda Fountain

Virginia Senior of Urban Beans Bar & 24 Hour Cafe

Casey Hopkins of Welcome Chicken & Donuts and Welcome Diner

and more!
