The Worth Street Veterinary Center should be your go-to destination if you’re a pet owner living in Downtown.

It is the only American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited practice in Downtown Manhattan, which means that their veterinary professionals are rated as knowledgable, the equipment is well-maintained and updated, the medical procedures are cutting-edge, and the facility delivers high quality veterinary care.

The Worth Street Vet offers hydrotherapy rehabilitation facility, acupuncture treatments, and holistic options so that you only have need to make one-stop for virtually any of your pet’s needs.

In addition, the facility is completely eco-friendly. The hospital was designed by a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified architectural firm to be highly energy efficient. Every area of the clinic uses earth-friendly materials such as lighting occupation sensors and efficient bulbs, which along with the glass block and brick walls give the space an airy, natural feel.

“We believe that the integration of multiple medical modalities is the most efficient way to customize a treatment plan that takes the patient’s body, mind and environmental factors into consideration. So, whether your pet needs an advanced surgery or even a cancer therapy, whenever possible, our patients and clients will be offered a combination of advanced medicine, nutritional therapy, botanical alternatives, acupuncture, and natural supplements,” says the Center’s primary veterinarian, Dr. Francisco DiPolo.

After obtaining his veterinary degree at The Universidad Central de Venezuela, Dr. DiPolo  completed his clinical rotations at Tufts University. It was here that he became aware of the concept of integrative veterinary medicine – the combination of conventional medicine with holistic treatments, to promote optimal health.

“I felt that I had found my true path, in that this philosophy is and has been a perfect fit with my professional goals and personal beliefs and lifestyle. Since the year 2000 I have been passionately and successfully integrating the best of cutting edge technology, medicine and surgery with complementary therapies – such as acupuncture, and herbal and nutritional treatments. Integrative medicine has truly become my way of life.”
