Blind Boy Paxton

Upon listening to Blind Boy Paxton, you might think he’s been playing the banjo, guitar and piano for many years. Surprisingly, he’s only 23 years old and knows more about blues and jazz then most others. But he is an “old soul” in the blues and jazz world and a truly phenomenal talent.

Kishi Bashi with Special Guest Tall Tall Trees

Kishi Bashi’s full length debut album, 151a, is like having an ice cream cone on the hottest summer day. It’s a pop record that’ll make you smile no matter how hard you try to hide it. Kishi Bashi has composed and produced all of the music on this album. He’s a one-man show or, should I say, a one-man show extraordinaire! If you haven’t had the opportunity to hear Tall Tall Trees yet, then you’re in for an extra bonus treat tonight. They are upbeat, twangy, effervescent and fun all around.

Dead Mellotron

This Baltimore band plays some of the best shoegaze rock I’ve heard in a long time. Their new album, Glitter, literally sparkles, twinkles and tickles your toes Fun fact: a mellotron is the world’s first sample playback keyboard created in the early ’60s.
